Commercial Waste Management

Standard waste removal through to full service consolidation for multi-site businesses, managed by one dedicated success manager.

Business

What this service covers

We offer a full line of solutions for small, medium and large businesses, running from standard scheduled waste removal through to comprehensive service consolidation. The organising idea is straightforward: if your business operates in a dozen different cities, there is no reason to hold contracts with a dozen different providers, each with its own billing cycle, its own service window and its own hold queue.

One call to PUMA Solutions puts every location onto a single contract with a single point of contact. You keep running your business; we handle the dirty work and the paperwork behind it.

  • Scheduled and on-call collection
  • Multi-site contract consolidation
  • Single point of contact, no hold queues
  • Consolidated invoicing across locations

The concierge programme

One success manager for every site you operate

This is the part no other regional provider offers, and it is the reason most of our commercial clients moved to us.

Direct access, no queue

Every client gets the direct line of a named success manager who knows the account. No IVR menu, no ticket number, no explaining the situation from scratch to a stranger.

We chase the contractor, not you

When a pickup is missed or a container is damaged, you make one call. Your manager contacts the local contractor and drives it to resolution, then tells you it is done.

Consolidated invoicing

One invoice covering every location, coded however your accounts team needs it, rather than fourteen separate bills arriving on fourteen different dates.

Right-sized containers

We audit fill rates rather than assuming the container you inherited is correct. Over-sized containers on over-frequent schedules are the single most common source of waste overspend.

Cleaning cover on the same account

Custom cleaning and janitorial work can be added to the same relationship, so a short-notice staffing gap does not mean sourcing a new vendor under pressure.

Vetted local contractors

Where we use regional partners, they are vetted and monitored by us. Service failures are our problem to fix, not yours to chase across a supplier list.

Who this suits

Consolidation pays for itself fastest when complexity, not volume, is the problem. The businesses that see the largest reduction in both cost and administrative load tend to look like this:

  • Multi-site retail, hospitality and restaurant groups
  • Property managers holding several buildings across a region
  • Regional healthcare, dental and veterinary practices
  • Light manufacturing and warehousing with variable output
  • Construction firms needing coverage that follows the job
  • Franchise operators inheriting contracts they did not negotiate

Single-site businesses are equally welcome — you get the same named manager, just with less to consolidate.

Start with an invoice review

Before you change anything, send us three months of hauler invoices for one representative location. We will tell you what is being charged for, which line items are avoidable, and whether consolidation would actually help you — even where the honest answer is that your current arrangement is already competitive.

Check your renewal window first

Most commercial hauling agreements auto-renew and require written notice inside a narrow window — often 60 to 90 days before term end. Find that clause before you begin any conversation about switching, ours included. Missing it costs a full additional term.

Questions

About commercial waste management

Yes. Our own crews cover the Northland directly, and beyond it we place work with vetted regional contractors. The difference from your side is nil: you still call one manager, receive one invoice, and hold us accountable for the outcome.
Frequently, and it is often the sensible first step. Many clients start by adding overflow, seasonal or project waste to a PUMA account while their incumbent contract runs down, then consolidate at renewal once they have seen how we perform.
By container size, collection frequency and material type, quoted after we look at your actual fill rates rather than the size of the container you happen to have. We publish flat rates for residential work because it is standardised; commercial waste genuinely is not.
You call your success manager. They contact the local contractor, arrange recovery — usually same or next day — and confirm back to you when it is scheduled. You do not spend your afternoon on hold explaining the problem twice.
Yes. Site closures, office relocations and fit-out strip-outs are handled through our cleanout crews, coordinated by the same manager who runs your ongoing collections.
