Frequently Asked Questions

The questions our dispatch desk fields most often, answered at length rather than in one line.

Every published rate covers collection, loading, transport and disposal, and sales tax is already built in. The number we quote on the phone is the number you pay at the door. The only additions are the published surcharges — for example $50 on a bed frame with a headboard and footboard, or $50 where an appliance needs elaborate plumbing disconnection — and we tell you about those before we arrive.
To keep rates competitive our removal specialists double as telephone operators, so during peak hours a call may go straight to voicemail. We are attentive to the queue and in the overwhelming majority of cases return calls within 30 minutes. Leaving your name, your ZIP code and a one-line description of the job gets you a firm quote faster.
If we are removing more than one item from the flat-rate list in a single visit, deduct $50 from the rate of every item — not just the second one. Two large appliances at $200 each become $150 each, so $300 rather than $400. Our online estimator applies this automatically.
We cannot accept hazardous waste: paints and solvents, motor oil, pesticides, asbestos-containing material, medical sharps, propane tanks or ammunition. Those need a household hazardous waste facility. If you are not sure about an item, call and describe it — we would far rather answer the question than leave you with a surprise on collection day.
Most residential jobs inside the core service area are collected within the same week, and we frequently manage next-day for single items. Commercial accounts on a scheduled contract keep a fixed collection day. Larger cleanouts are booked after a short walkthrough — usually within seven to ten days.
Cash or credit card, taken on completion. Commercial accounts are invoiced on standard terms, and multi-site clients receive a single consolidated invoice covering every location rather than one per site.
The standard booking is a long weekend, which suits most garage and basement projects. If you need longer, say so when you book — extended holds are usually fine outside our busiest weeks and we will confirm the rate up front.
We sort at the trailer wherever it is practical and route material to the right destination: scrap metal to a metal recycler, electronics to certified e-waste processing, mattresses to a dismantler where one is available, and only the genuine remainder to landfill. Our disposal fees are the ones published by WLSSD and comparable regional facilities.
